A Letter to Our Teachers
Welcome back!
I hope you had a restful summer break and were able to have some fun, relax, and recharge your batteries for the year ahead.
With a new school year comes a year filled with possibility, excitement, and of course, ever-lasting memories. We are thrilled to be working alongside you for another year.
Building the Momentum
The 2021-2022 school year was nothing short of amazing and we could not have done it without your continued support.
While we achieved record-breaking numbers including impacting over 40,000 student lives, we are committed to increasing our impact across our schools and communities by inspiring the next generation through sport.
We Are Here to Support You
At RSG!, supporting teachers in need sits at the top of our priority list. We pride ourselves on listening to teacher’s feedback and taking action. A great example is our solution to virtual fitness, which was sparked by the pandemic.
At the onset of COVID-19, children and people of all ages were not able to partake in their regular fitness, workout, or play routines. We recognized there was a gap - there were no virtual fitness videos that our schools could utilize to keep their students active, so we filled the gap. RSG! developed the first of its’ kind virtual program for our community to utilize to stay active throughout the lockdown.
Also, last year, teachers reached out requesting the need to have resources related to supporting their students with disabilities. Taking these concerns into consideration, we created an onboarding video designed to help teachers best support their students with disabilities.
No matter what it is, please do not hesitate to contact us at mreynolds@lasports.org, we would be happy to help support you in any way.
Thank You, Teachers!
Teachers dedicate their time, energy, and lives to children, providing guidance and being there for them when they need a little extra support. In addition to the duties of teaching, many of you have gone above and beyond. Whether it is offering to help at lunch, after school, or before school, we are so lucky to have teachers who also serve as coaches, advocates, and mentors to children to shape their lives forever.
“A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils.” —Ever Garrison
Teaching is not an easy role, and it never has been. On top of being an educator, a teacher plays an affluent role in molding the life of the student morally and ethically. Teachers contribute to the building of society by shaping students, and we will always be indebted to the teacher’s contribution in giving forth great personalities to the nation.
“One child, one teacher, one pen, and one book can change the world.” —Malala Yousafzai
Great teachers inspire and positively influence their students by implementing creativity in their minds, empowering them to experiment, connect, and grow.
Oftentimes a teacher’s contribution can be taken for granted, but it does not go unnoticed by our team at Ready, Set, Gold! While there is a Teacher’s Appreciation Week, we are deeply grateful and appreciative of you all 365 days a year.
Thank you again and we cannot wait to see what we accomplish together.
