This past month, Ready, Set, Gold! and individual members received the Rings of Gold Award from the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee for their dedication to positively impacting the youth in communities across the nation.

For the first time in nearly two years, the 2022 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Assembly, was hosted by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee on Thursday, June 23rd at the Antlers Hilton in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

About the 2022 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Assembly
The three-day event celebrated the accomplishments of Team USA - and the dedicated community of staff, athletes, National Governing Bodies, and many supporters. The time was used to come together to listen, engage and embrace diverse perspectives, with the goal of emerging as a more unified and collaborative community so that, together, we can empower American athletes to reach their greatest potential on and off the field of play.

About the Rings of Gold Award
The Rings of Gold awards – inaugurated in 1996 – annually recognize an individual and a program dedicated to helping children develop their Olympic or Paralympic dreams and reach their highest athletic and personal potential.

RSG! Executive Director, Michaela Reynolds’, Reaction to Receiving the Prestigious Award

"We are honored to be recognized by the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee with the 2022 Rings of Gold Award alongside these incredible individuals, Melissa Stockwell and Rowdy Gaines. Ready, Set, Gold! has not only made a difference for kids across the country but to teachers, school cultures and communities. I’m so proud of all that we’ve been able to accomplish, but our commitment to Los Angeles means that we’re determined to help even more kids as we lead up to the LA28 Games. This year RSG! Has worked with over 40,000 students and we couldn’t have created this impact without Olympic and Paralympic mentors. To me, helping children develop their Olympic or Paralympic dreams and reach their highest potential creates opportunities, and RSG! is doing just that.  I assure you we will continue to promote the Olympic and Paralympic values in anticipation of your arrival to Los Angeles in 2028.” - Executive Director, Michaela Reynolds

Special Thank You to Our Athletes

We couldn't have achieved this prestigious award without the Olympic and Paralympic Mentors who deliver the program to students across the country.  Our Olympians and Paralympian are the core of Ready, Set, Gold! and this award is shared with each and every one of them:
