As the 2019-2020 school year comes to a close, the first-ever Virtual Ready, Set, Gold! program has also come to an end.

The virtual program, which launched at the end of March, consisted of a nine-week online program featuring Ready, Set, Gold! Olympians and Parlaympians.  Each lesson incorporated an important lesson along with an at-home workout to keep students active and engaged while distance learning from home.

Taking Ready, Set, Gold! online was a new endeavor for the program but the response to the content was overwhelmingly positive. In addition, it provided a new way to reach more students than ever before. With the support of the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Physical Education department, Ready, Set, Gold’s virtual content was made accessible to all LAUSD teachers to share with their students.

The final lesson of the program featured Olympian Alex Roelse who spoke to students about the importance of taking responsibility and provided a three-set workout of three exercises.
